PRIMARY SPINNING

Most artificial and synthetic fibres cannot be spun and processed without the aid of a spin finish, due to the friction developed during the various production phases.

The spin finish is essentially a complex mixture of lubricants, emulsifiers, antistatics, cohesion agents, wetting agents and biocides, applied directly to the surface of the fibre downstream of the extrusion phase by means of kiss rolls, metering pumps or perforated thread guides.

They protect every single filament, absorbing friction and heat, eliminating electrostatic charges and ensuring cohesion between filaments.

The Achitex Minerva Group has been working on the formulation of these compounds for years, and it now has the know-how required to meet even the most complex demands from end users, regardless of the type of technology available and the fibres processed.

Spin finishes for primary spinning, lubricants for secondary spinning, oils for texturing and coning, antistatic and much more!
